Network Whitelisting & UDP Port Access

This article covers the network whitelisting requirements that need to be configured by and IT administrator in order for an organization to be able to use the Co. Society virtual office application.

To ensure the smooth operation of our 3D application while maintaining high security standards, it's necessary to adjust both your network firewall settings and your Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) software configurations. This guide outlines the steps to whitelist specific IP addresses and port ranges required for video/audio connections, and how to align these requirements with your EDR settings.

Network Whitelisting Requirements

For optimal functionality of our 3D application, the following external IP addresses need to be whitelisted within your network:

  • 34.241.88.228
  • 34.242.195.214
  • 34.251.66.114
  • 52.19.201.6
  • 52.212.121.85
  • 52.49.31.242
  • 54.77.168.16
  • 63.33.182.81
  • 63.35.124.52
  • 63.35.129.254
  • 63.35.136.89
  • 108.128.146.20

UDP Port Access

To ensure Co. Society delivers a seamless and interactive 3D experience, it relies on UDP (User Datagram Protocol), a standard method of exchanging data over the Internet. Unlike other methods that check and recheck data delivery, UDP sends information directly and efficiently, allowing for real-time responsiveness crucial for immersive 3D environments. It's a common, non-intrusive technology used in many online applications, from video streaming to gaming.

Please Note! For secure, dedicated access to your single-tenant instance, you will receive a unique IP address unique to your environment. To ensure optimal functionality and connectivity, all UDP ports associated with this specific IP must be opened.

When provided with your dedicated client IP, you must ensure the following ports are allowed through your firewall (only for your dedicated IP):

  • 443 for TCP protocols.
  • ALL ports for UDP protocol.
